Pharmacological effects:
Since the discovery that long-acting local anesthetics can induce cardiac arrest, people have been looking for safer and less fat-soluble alternatives. Ropivacaine is such a new type of long-acting amide local anesthetic, its action lasts a long time, and has anesthetic and analgesic effects. Its pharmacologic features are low cardiotoxicity, obvious separation of sensory block from motor block, and peripheral constriction. Therefore, the drug is especially suitable for postoperative analgesia and obstetric anesthesia.
Compared with traditional local anesthetics, ropivacaine has the following advantages:
1. Curative effect -- the effect time of ropivacaine was significantly longer than that of other long-acting local anesthetics, and the effect time of subcutaneous infiltration was 2 to 3 times longer than that of bupivacaine of the same concentration.
2. Unique curative effect -- the separation degree of sensory and motor block of ropivacaine is much higher than that of bupivacaine, and the clearance rate is higher, making it more suitable for analgesia.
3. High controllability -- the anesthetic effect of ropivacaine is dose-dependent, that is to say, the degree of sensory and motor retardation produced by ropivacaine is predictable and controllable.
