Acetaminophen is a phenolic compound used in the common cold or influenza fever and to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache, joint pain, migraines, toothache, muscle pain, neuralgia, and menstrual cramps.
Pharmacological effects:
This product is an antipyretic analgesic. It selectively inhibits the synthesis of central prostaglandin in hypothalamus by inhibiting cycnoxidase, resulting in peripheral vascular dilatation and sweating. The antipyretic effect is similar to that of aspirin. Analgesic effect is achieved by inhibiting the synthesis and release of prostaglandin, etc., and improving pain threshold. It is a peripheral analgesic, which is weaker than aspirin and only effective for mild and moderate pain. This product has no obvious anti-inflammatory effect.
USES:
This product is the most commonly used non-anti-inflammatory antipyretic analgesic, antipyretic effect is similar to aspirin, analgesic effect is weak, no anti-inflammatory anti-rheumatic effect, is the best acetaniline drugs. Especially suitable for patients who cannot be treated with carboxylic acids.
