Ampicillin sodium is a broad-spectrum penicillin with a wider antibacterial spectrum than penicillin. It also has antibacterial activity against some gram-negative bacteria (such as haemophilus influenzae, escherichia coli and proteus mirabilis). The effect on gram-positive coccus is similar to penicillin. It can also be hydrolyzed and inactivated by penicillinase produced by bacteria. It is suitable for the treatment of respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, gastrointestinal tract infection, skin and soft tissue infection, meningitis, sepsis, endocarditis caused by sensitive bacteria. This product is the first choice for enterococcal infection.
USES:
