This product has good antibacterial effect on gram-negative bacteria such as vibrio, brucella, campylobacter and yersinia, and has no antibacterial activity against pseudomonas aeruginosa.
This product has a certain antibacterial effect on some anaerobic bacteria, but it is far inferior to metronidazole, clindamycin and chloramphenicol, so it is not used clinically. Due to the wide application of tetracycline over the years, the resistance of gram-positive bacteria including staphylococcus and gram-negative bacteria including enterobacter to tetracycline is serious.
Moreover, cross-resistance exists between the same species. The mechanism of action of this product is that the drug can specifically bind to the A position of the bacterial ribosome 30S subunit, prevent the connection of aminoacyll-trna at this position, and thus inhibit the growth of peptide chain and affect the synthesis of bacterial protein.
