Product details:
D- cycloserine is an amino acid derivative that inhibits most gram-positive and negative-bacteria, rickettsiae and some protozoa. The antibacterial action mechanism is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan, resulting in the defect of bacterial cell wall. Cell wall peptidoglycan is the main structural component of bacterial cell wall, which is formed by repeated and alternating pentapeptides of n-acetylglucosamine (GNAc) and n-acetylchitoic acid (MNAc). In cytoplasm, d-cycloserine inhibits the formation of n-acetylmicylic acid pentapeptides by inhibiting d-alanine racemase and synthetase, thereby inhibiting the synthesis of the cell wall mucopeptide precursor.
